There are 22 children living here at the orphanage; their age ranges from 6 to 18 years. We do not know all the circumstances of the former life of every child. However, here are a few examples:
The parents of one girl both died due to illnesses, a boy’s parents died as a result of a fire, a mother died giving birth, a father – a well-builder – died due to a work accident, one of the boys used to live on the street not knowing his parents. Many other children have grown up with their grandparents who have passed away leaving the children homeless. Some have lived with other relatives who have no money to take care of them. Other children whose parents are still alive are also here because the parents live in extreme poverty and cannot bear the cost for food for the whole family or for school fees.
